Both Wisbar and Sanger are fascinated by the political events following the Fall of the Berlin Wall.

"Last Cemetery in Berlin" takes place in 1990. The main action follows Lily Weitrek, the American raised daughter of a famous German film director and his photographer wife.  Following the death of her mother, Lily discovers that her mother has requested to be buried in Berlin, the city where she was born.

Shocked by that request, Lily is even more stunned to learn that an unknown piece of East German property belonging to her mother has been left to Lily's estranged daughter, Kathleen.

By trying to reclaim the property, secrets, lies and betrayals of three interwoven families are revealed finally breaking the silence of years, allowing mother and daughter an opportunity for reconciliation.
