Mark Holdom started in entertainment at the age of 10 in New Zealand playing piano. He started his first school band at age 15 and continued to play through the end of his University studies until in 1982 at age 20 he moved to Sydney and started working as a sound engineer.  Mark spent 6 years touring the world with rock bands as engineer and tour manager (METALLICA and TINA TURNER among others) until moving to New York in 1988 to work for Champion Entertainment, operated by Tommy Mottola, then head of SONY Records. He worked for MARIAH CAREY and HALL and OATES and independently many other international rock and alternative music bands including MODERN ENGLISH

Mark moved to Los Angeles in 1991 to manage the record company of rock icon Frank Zappa, then toured with Alanis Morissette and in 1995 did his first stint in film working at Propaganda films, producing music videos and commercials

In 1997, looking for a change of pace, Mark started at Dean Witter (later bought out by Morgan Stanley) as a private investment and financial consultant, moving to Paine Webber in Beverly Hills in 2000 (bought out by Swiss financial giant UBS) and ended his time in finance in 2001 with $30m under control

In 2002 Mark got the worldwide rights to the urban gangster film BLUE HILL AVENUE, making a deal to release the film in US theaters through Artisan (now Lionsgate) and started producing and selling independent films.  In 2003 he worked with Vincent Gallo to place the cult classic THE BROWN BUNNY in a worldwide distribution deal with SONY / Screen Gems

Moving to Italy in 2004, Mark continued to work in film production and worldwide distribution, attending film festivals and markets worldwide.  

Mark was recently engaged by Emirates Team New Zealand as sponsorship consultant for the 2013 America’s Cup races in San Francisco
