Vega and Simon Baker, and was associate producer on Black Irish, directed by Brad Gann, starring Brendan Gleeson, Michael Angarano, and Melissa Leo. In addition to Last Cemetery In Berlin, Frederick recently completed writing the script Atlantis with partner Mark Travis for the Australian producer Angelo Ioannou.
Frederick is slated to direct the film Deception from his own script and recently finished the comedy/action/romance Kicking Ash with writing partner Luise Lindermair. Other directing credits include the award winning short Toast, the concert video Talking Loud with Jim Carroll and Ray Manzarek; and Down The Pike a television adaptation of the stage play by Bill Corbett.
Frederick is a graduate of the Theater Arts program the University of California at Santa Cruz and the Cinema Studies program at San Francisco State University where he graduated magna-cum-laude.
Johntz has taught writing, directing and acting at UCLA Extension, AFI’s Professional Training Program the Film Farm in Kotla Poland, The Promenade Playhouse in Santa Monica and the Die Tankstelle in Berlin Germany. He has been involved in theatre in Los Angeles as a director, producer and actor. His most recent Theatre endeavors have been developing and directing a number of one-person shows including Born Feet First with Diane Luby Lane and the award winning Ecstasy And The Ice Queen with Justine Moore, which ran for over a year and a half in Los Angeles and had a run at Café La Mama in New York City. |
